Dendrobium Victoria-Reginae — New Growth and Bugs

DenVictReg904My large Dendrobium Victoria-Reginae has been blooming nicely, with light blue flowers that turn purple before they wither and fall off.  Yesterday, I noticed that there are a few canes with new buds, and there will be a second set of flowers soon.  Cool!

Unfortunatlely, I also noticed that the plant was infested with bugs — lots of them.  They were all over the leaves, the flowers, and the stems of the new growth.  I sprayed the plant with insecticidal soap, used Physan in the pot and in the tray where the plant sat, and gave the plant a Physan bath.  I will leave the plant in the Laundry Room in isolation for a week, and then see how it is responding.
