Odontoglossom Hybrid Z3947

IMG_2597.JPGI purchased this large Odontoglossom Hybrid Z3947 from The Orchid Zone at the Pacific Orchid Exposition on Saturday, February 27th.  It is a large plant, 4 1/2 feet tall when in spike.  It has been grown “outside” in their shade house, and has a tag that says Z3947.  I would not normally have purchased it without a tag, but the price was incredible ($20), and it will fit nicely in my Sunroom experiment.  Flowers are much the “ondicium-typical” brown and yellow, and the lip is full yellow with some small brownish markings.

IMG_2595.JPGI will wait for the blooms to fade before moving this plant into S/H, and moving it to the Sunroom.
