Coelogyne Usitana x sib

Coelogyne041216.JPGI purchased this Coelogyne Usitana x sib from In-situ Orchids at the Sacramento Orchid Society Spring Show on April 9th.  This orchid is found on Mindanao Island in The Philippines at elevations around 2,400 feet.  It is a warm growing epiphyte or lithophyte that blooms mostly from spring to summer with a pendulous habit, and as many as twenty flowers.

I repotted it into S/H this morning, and after a couple of weeks rest, will be placed in our solarium, where it should get its warm growing environment.  Because of its pendulous nature, I will probably hang this plant.
