Bob Hamilton gave me this Odontoglossom Castle de Stro #16 on Sunday May 15, 2016. It is a young orchid with a single bloom on a short spike. It has two new growths coming from its productive pseudobulb, and looks like a healthy plant. It is planted in bark, and I will keep it there this year, or until the two new pseudobulbs decide to grow out of the pot.
It has a very dramatic color scheme, with maroon over white, with some slight yellow at the lip. The petals are very wide.
