Coelogyne Flaccida ‘Gold Country’

Cologyne052216.JPGI purchased this Coelogyne Flaccida ‘Gold Country’ from Jeff Tyler who sells on eBay as ‘insituorchids’ during my visit to his greenhouses on May 14th.  It is a healthy plant with numerous pseudobulbs and several new growths, some of which should be blooms.  This plant is native to the areas of Nepal and China, and grows up to 7,000 ft.  It needs bright non-direct light, and is usually grown in a hanging basket.

I have hung this plant in my solarium on the southern side, where it will not get direct light.  It probably takes slightly cooler temperatures.
