I purchased this Coelogyne Mooreana ‘Brockhurst’ from eBay vendor “letstalkplants”, it was delivered on Friday, April 15, and is now in bloom. It was potted in a 6″ net pot, and it has been hanging in the solarium since it was delivered. I moved it under the easternmost skylight about a month ago, and it immediately started producing a spike.
It has only one flower at present, but clearly has another coming behind it. According to the AOS website,
The erect inflorescence is 15-20 inches tall and emerges from between the leaves of new growths before the pseudobulbs have formed. Three to eight large, fragrant flowers up to 3-4 inches (7-10cm) are produced per inflorescence.
…which means that I should expect more flowers. We’ll see.
