Stelis Pilosa

Stelis052117.JPGI purchased this Stelis Pilosa from the Tiny Jungle at their open house on Saturday, May 20, 2017.  It is a small mounted plant that is currently in bloom.  It is a species orchid native to Costa Rica and Panama, and grows at altitudes from 900 to 1800 meters.  It is a warm grower that needs full shade.  It is currently mounted on a wood slab with a mound of sphagnum moss, and has two inflorences in bloom.

I’ll keep it in the shady part of the solarium for now.
