Odontioda (Oda. (Aviewood x Durham City) x Odm. Jim Mintsiveris ‘Spotter’) is in bloom

Durham022018.jpgI purchased this Odontioda (Oda. (Aviewood x Durham City) x Odm. Jim Mintsiveris ‘Spotter’) from the Tiny Jungle at Orchids in the Park in San Francisco on July 23, 2016.  It had a single bloom when I purchased it, which was beautiful, but the subsequent blooms on that spike were not great.  I have been growing it on the center table of the solarium since its purchase, moving it to the floor on the south side of the solarium last fall.  It started the spike in early December.  It now has a two-foot spike with 10 well-shaped flowers.

This may not be one that an “orchid purist” may like, but I seem to like the flowers.
