Rhyncattleanthe Young-Min Orange is in bloom

young-Min022320.jpgI purchase this Rhyncattleanthe Young-Min Orange (Rth. Viola Nuggett x Ctt. Trick or Treat) from Ten Shin Gardens at the 2019 Pacific Orchid Exposition in San Francisco, February 2019.  This is one of those plants that just “jumps into your hand” at these orchid shows.  The orange color really stands out.

It currently is sitting on the top shelf in the canopy part of the greenhouse, where it receives a little less than “cattleya light”, and is a bit warmer that most of the greenhouse.  It has two spikes, each with six flowers.

Beautiful color!
